Little Axe Tornado

Thursday, May 13th, 2010

While it’s terribly possible that the gulf problem will severely affect fishing, not only in the gulf, but onshore as well.

If you can’t go deep sea fishing – at least you can still go bass fishing – right here in OK.

Did you see all the destruction that was caused this week by the tornadoes? The Little Axe area just east of the Lake Thunderbird dam was hit hard. So was the lake.

You wouldn’t think it would affect the lake too much, but all the boats that were anchored and stored there were demolished. It’s a mess.

I feel for the boat owners. AND for all the people affected.

I couldn’t get to the lake to take pictures – the whole place was blocked off. (As were many of the other roads.)

Here’s an image of what was left from the administration building at the school.

Sad…

The whole football stadium is gone too. Graduation ceremonies have been moved to Noble High.
