We’ve come to expect loads of treasure unearthed from fabulous Egyptian historical sites. But fishing tackle?

An archaeological team in Egypt has uncovered prehistoric fishing gear near an oasis south of Cairo.

They also uncovered sewing items, jewelry and weapons all made from animal bones. Antiquities covered the Pharaonic, Greek, Roman and Islamic periods.

Wonder which long ago fisherman lost his gear?
