I happen to have a farm pond on my property. It presently doesn’t have any fish in it.

How do I know?

Well, we had a drought a year or so ago, and the pond completely dried up. First time ever. So I’m certain there aren’t any fish left in it.

However, many farm ponds were stocked with fish when they were built. Farm ponds are less often fished than your rivers or lakes so the fish in them have ample opportunity to become quite large.

If you have an option to visit a local farm pond to fish, well go for it! You won’t be disapointed.
