Of course, for many of us, fishing NEVER went out of style!
Fishing is gaining ground as a favorite pastime once again. This time around, money has something to do with it.
How much does it cost to play a round of golf? A lot!
How much does it cost to go fishing? Not much!
Fishing can be as cheap as you want it to be. Many a kid was introduced to fishing by digging for worms in the own backyard, or catching grasshoppers, or buying a few crawlers at the local bait shop. Add a homemade cane pole or a low end rod and reel and you have a good time waiting at a bargain price.
The added benefits? You get some nice outdoor quality time with your family. A little Vitamin D from the sun, some quiet conversation, and maybe even dinner, if you’re a good catch!
So next time you’re looking for some nice family fun without spending a lot of money, grab your pole, dig for some worms, and head to your nearest watering hole. It’ll be time well spent.
