While we’re looking to catch a bass (or two) the bass are not only feeding, they’re hiding from potential prey, us included. Because they’re wary, you’ll often find them where they feel safe. Fish around rocks, weeds and shady areas where they attempt to hide from prey. Farmers will sometimes toss their old cedar or pine Christmas tree into their farm ponds just for the fish to find refuge. But, you’ll find them in bright clear sunny areas too. Those spots make them feel safe as they can see predators approaching.
