Google earth viewers spotted an unusual rock formation in the Teifi River near Cardigan, Wales.
It appears to be a large 853 foot formation in the shape of a V.
Scientists think the rock formation was built over a thousand years ago. It’s thought that fisherman of the time used the rock formation to trap fish in nets when the tide receded.
The discovery was made by an eagle-eye in an airplane and then confirmed using Google Earth. Divers were then sent in to check it out.
While no longer functional in its original capacity as a fish trap, it now serves as a natural reef in the river.
