Around these parts, we fish at the lake, or a creek, or sometimes an old farm pond. And seldom do we go outside our little comfort zone. Yeah, sometimes one of us will head up north and we’ll try our hand at fly-fishin’ but that’s around it. Think it’s probably because we’re landlocked.
My buddy and I were talking the other day, about moving outside of our comfort zone and instead of taking a fall ‘huntin’ trip, we decided to at least think about going deep sea fishing instead.
Since we don’t know anything about it, other than it sure looks fun on tv, we looked up a deep sea fishin’ site and started reading the forum, the daily fishin’ reports and info about an upcoming tourney. Nah, we don’t think we’re deep sea tourney material, but the rest? I think we can take on the deep blue sea.

When my Dad was young, it was nothing to walk down the street in his small town carrying a shotgun.
When I was growing up, every pickup in the county had a gun rack in the back, with guns in it.
These days, if you have a gun at home, you need to have it secured. For your own family’s safety and the safety of others.
Course you could have a wood and glass cabinet to store them in or you could do one better and get yourself a gun safe.
I know what you’re thinking. Too pricey.
Have you considered getting a used gun vault?
Gun vaults resemble large western style safes. They’re huge and heavy and nearly impossible to steal, much less break into. You can even fine them with biometric scanners to afford you even more safety.

Think about it. Your family’s safety should come first.

If you live in Oklahoma and you aren’t a fan of OSU or OU, well, you’d better be a Cowboys fan.
Otherwise, you get the dirtiest looks when you wear another team’s logo to town.
That’s OK. Diversity is good.
I know this one guy that moved here from Michigan to attend OU. Of course he’s a Sooner fan, but you know, deep down inside, he’s a Spartan through and through.
You should see his ‘man cave’ AKA his garage. Full of MSU Football memorabilia.
The room is decked in Spartan helmets and jerseys, a signed football or two along with his big screen tv always on the sports channel, or a tivo’d Spartan game.
He throws a mean football party too. You know where I’ll be come game day!
Go Spartans!

Round these parts, if you were to head into town on a ‘game day’ Saturday you’d be surrounded by a sea of red.
Sooner Red.
Same with any other game day, football game day that is. Football’s just big.
People enjoy gettin’ together for games, cooking out, hanging around, and dressing in their team colors. Around here all you can find is red.
So, when we get invited over to an ‘anything but Sooner’ party we ‘real quick like’ start looking for some cheap nhl jerseys online. Saves time. Saves money and lets us choose those elusive teams we might not find in our local ‘all red’ stores.

For the traveling angler, a four-wheel drive vehicle needs to offer many unique features and you should consider your options very carefully before making a purchase. Any car of this kind needs to tick all of your boxes including space, comfort and durability and here are the essential features that you need to look for.
For anglers, space is arguably the most vital requirement for any of the 4-WD Vehicles on the market today. Before you part with your money, you need to consider all the dimensions of the vehicle including the trunk and the interior. Will the car be long enough to accommodate your rods without you risking damage to your most vital piece of equipment? Additionally, is there enough space for your nets, chairs and associated equipment that you need to take with you on an expedition? Above all else, space is probably the single most important issue for any angler.
In addition, you need to consider where you will be driving your vehicle and it isn’t safe to assume that all four-wheel drive vehicles have great off road capabilities. If you’re driving to major sites with tarmac roads leading up to the fishing areas, you may not need a great off road vehicle. However, if access is going to be an issue, you need to consider this very carefully. Will you be driving through rough terrain on a regular basis to get to your angling site? If so, you need a vehicle that has optimum off road capabilities. Ultimately, the need for off road driving will vary between anglers so only you can decide how much of this element you need to factor in to any purchase of a four-wheel drive car.
The majority of anglers who are looking to buy a 4×4 vehicle specifically for their hobby will want to purchase a car that is built to last. Longevity is very important for most anglers who see buying a vehicle of this kind as an investment. It’s important here to do your research and this can be undertaken in a number of ways. In the first instance you can seek out reviews in car magazines both online and from printed publications in your local store. Secondly, why not speak to other anglers and get their view? You can discuss durability alongside any other aspect of a four-wheel drive vehicle and you may pick up the one piece of advice that helps you make your decision. Finally, simply by taking the time to look at vehicles that are on the road will help you judge a car’s longevity. Over a period of time, you will notice one or two makes that just keep on going and that can be extremely useful in helping you decide what to buy.
Ultimately, all anglers will share certain requirements such as a desire for space while needs will differ when it comes to other aspects such as off road driving. By taking a little care and doing plenty of research, however, you can choose the four-wheel drive vehicle which is right for you as an individual.

One of the things that I like to think about when it comes to watching movies is all the stuff that went into making a movie. My family and I seem to watch lots of movies together. Which my husband and I have always loved to do that and it makes for some pretty cheap entertainment. But I also like to find some ones that are a little less mainstream. That way most of the time it’s more surprising.
While I was looking online to get some ideas about some new movies for us to watch, I found some information about a hearing test. I read through it and signed up to take one to see if I need hearing aids.
I read some information about the Memphis musical filming that’s available to watch on DVD and I rented it online. It seemed like it would be really great and it was! I think the whole family enjoyed it and I’ve gotten several requests to find similar things for us to watch on our family movie nights.

Remember growing up when you’d drive to town with Dad or Grandpa and they’d have their shotgun in the rack in the pickup?
Remember guns hanging over fireplaces, or leaning in the corner of a room? And I’m sure there are guns all across America just leaning in the corner of many closets.
Today, we have more of a need than ever for keeping our weapons secure.
The latest technology is biometric fingerprint safes. Yes, these new safes are individualized. They use fingerprint readers so that the only person that has access to your guns, is you.
Sounds interesting doesn’t it?
Read up on them, and decide which one(s) are best for your circumstances. Check out Biometric Gun Safe Reviews to help you make up your mind.
Safety First.
