It still seems a little strange to me that people in other places might have to wait for the opening of a particular stream or region before they can fish in it.
I’m sure it has something to do with extreme weather. So all you Oregonians get ready! June 5th is the opening of the Black River for fishing.
Anglers can fish the Black River from the mouth of Black Lake and all the tributaries west of Interstate 5, including Waddell Creek, Mima Creek, Dempsey Creek, Beaver Creek, Salmon Creek and Blooms Ditch.
For trout, the daily limit is two fish, with a minimum size of 14 inches. Selective gear rules are in effect. Using internal combustion motors is prohibited.
For other game fish, the statewide minimum size and daily limits apply. Selective gear rules are in effect. Internal combustion motors prohibited
Oregonians, let’s get fishin’!
