Grand Lake begins where the Elk & Spring river combine with the Neosho. Grand Lake itself if a whopping 46000 acres with 1300 MILES of shoreline.
What do lots of folks fish for at Grand Lake?
Crappie
Grand Lake is highly developed. It’s a vacation spot, a weekend getaway spot, lots of big homes as well as cabins on the shorelines and many of those have floating docks and boathouses. All of which make great crappie hiding places. Smart anglers save their Christmas trees and submerge them (tied so that they don’t wash away) on their docks.
Look for the man-made brush pile structures just off the shorelines and you’ll find crappie. It’s almost guaranteed!
