Fishing Stocking Stuffer

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009

I was poking around E*bay looking for some stocking stuffers when I stumbled across a nice sized fishing lure. Perfect I thought for a teenage boy’s stocking.

Bidding started at a penny. Yes, just a penny. Wow, I thought I could get all kinds of lures for him at those kind of prices. Just fill the stocking up with lures… Fun.

As I bidded up the item by a few cents I noticed that the ‘free’ shipping that had touted had a disclaimer. What? I don’t think that actually abides by E*bay rules.

They said that ‘free’ shipping only applied to items that sold for $3 or more. Meaning that if the item sold for a penny or a quarter, or $2.99 that they would automatically add $3 shipping to the item.

Well, if that don’t beat all.

Sneaky people don’t get my orders. I’ll just keep looking. I have plenty of time to find a stocking full of teenage boy ‘stuffing’.

It’s located outside Tulsa, in Jenks. Open every day of the year except for Christmas and open late on Tuesdays. It’s under $14 for adults and $10 for kids.

The Oklahoma Aquarium features bull sharks all around you as you walk through the underwater tunnel. You’ll see octopus, seahorses, lionfish, jellyfish and more.

There’s the National Fishing Tackle Museum inside in the Aquarium, and the Oceans Room is full of different habitats and lots of different species of fish, including parrot fish, porcupine puffers, and even eels.

The latest addition to the Aquarium is the Hayes Family Ozark Stream. Here’s you’ll see river otters, beavers, raccoons, sunfish, bass and more.

There’s even a centuries old alligator snapping turtle, a record sized catfish, and alligator gar. You can feed turtles, pet a shark or stingray. There’s over 200 exhibits at the Oklahoma Aquarium. Make it a destination this weekend!

He Made Her Mad

Friday, October 2nd, 2009

He took the jewelry that he gave her back. That made her mad.

What’d she do about it?

This California lady went to her ex’s house, went inside and took his goldfish out of his aquarium. He, of course, called the cops.

When the cops arrived at her house, they asked “Where are the fish, lady?”

She replied: “In the kitchen.”

They were in the kitchen.

On a plate.

Fried up all nice and golden brown.

Only four of them. “Where are the rest of them, lady?”

“I ate them.”
